Steve Rossiter asked for recommendations of Cortot recordings.  One of
my favorites is a 2-cd Philips Great Pianists of the 20th century sets
featuring Chopin's Etudes, Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsodies Nos.  2 & 11,
Schumann's Carnaval/Kreisleriana/Symphonic Etudes, and a couple of other
items.
