Washington Musica Viva's fourth concert at The Dennis & Phillip Ratner
Museum is Tuesday July 9 at 7:30 pm. This program will be performed by
National Symphony Orchestra musicians Mahoko Eguchi, viola, and David Teie,
cello, along with the brilliant violinist Sasha Margolis, and WMV founder
and pianist Carl Banner.

The program is pure chamber music heaven. It is devoted to two great
masterpieces: Brahms' C major Trio Op. 87, and Schumann's Piano Quartet
in Eb. Embedded in the Brahms is one of the most mysteriously beautiful
passages in all of chamber music. The Schumann is notable for intense
lyricism, and an especially deep cello tone in the Andante cantabile.
Sasha and Carl will also perform Joseph Achron's wonderfully haunting
Hebrew Melody (featured recently on NPR).

Please join us for another evening of beautiful and moving music, in
an intimate Bethesda setting. In addition you can view the imaginative
Biblical art of Phillip Ratner and visit the new exhibit upstairs of works
by the Artists of the Ratner Museum, "Of the Flesh/Of the Spirit."

The Dennis & Phillip Ratner Museum is at 10001 Old Georgetown Rd (corner
of Lone Oak Dr East), in Bethesda. Tickets are $15 in advance (your check
must be postmarked by July 5) or $18 at the door. Mail your checks (made
out to Washington Musica Viva), with your name/address/email, to Washington
Musica Viva, 9925 Dickens Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814.

We will reserve the front rows for advance ticket holders. For further
information, call 301-493-5729 or visit our website!
