I liked very much Donald Satz's precise expositions of the various
performances of Bach's Suites for solo cello. I have a set of the Suites
by Lynn Harrell, which I like very much, although his version is, as far as
I understand, a Modern Cello Version. I have not listened to performances
by.Bruns, Fournier, Kirshbaum or Ma, but I shall try to listen to
Kirshbaum's version, if I can get hold of it. Is there a reason why
Harrell's interpretation was not mentioned?
