I recall seeing/hearing violinist Roman Totenberg using a curved bow to
play Bach back in the 1950s. Does anyone recall this?

He, of course, was well known as a virtuoso using the modern bow and in
fact gave the premiere of the William Schuman violin concerto which has
recently been getting some exposure because of a modern recording by Paul
Zukovsky, accompanied by Michael Tilson Thomas.

Also, Roman Totenberg is the father of NRP legal correspondent, Nina
Totenberg.
