I used to travel across from Chester BY TRAIN to Birkenhead to hear the
RLPO rather more yearS ago than I care to recall - they were usually well
worth the efffort.  Also used to travel by even slower Train across to hear
the Halle in that other city.  Those were the days pre 1966?*!
