Any one have comments regarding "Mathis der Maler" conducted by
Horenstein?? There is a disc available I am thinking of purchasing.

BTW, many thanks to those who recommended Holst's "The Planets" as
conducted by Sir Adrian Boult. (Sorry, can't recall the thread this was
being followed on). I had Dutoit's version, and thought it was pretty good
- My God, I didn't know the music had such power and vision, menace and
fear-invoking crushing chords, ethereal lightness and beauty. It was a
revelation. Little less enthralled with the Elgar Enigma Variations that
accompanied it, but it was worth every penny just for "The Planets".
Another solid Barker recommendation!!
