David Simmons:

>Michaelangelo's David sits in the Louvre (I think)

Pardon the pedantry but it's Michelangelo, and David is in the Galleria
dell'Accademia in Florence. He is currently being painstakingly cleaned.
If he were a score, he would be transformed from one of Beethoven's messy
scribblings with crossings out into a neat Mozart production. Which is
probably extending the analogy more than it can safely bear.
