I have to agree with the idea that it would be more difficult to
appreciate the depth of classical music outside the boundaries of a
"traditional" setting.  To me, a part of the passion of listening to
concerts is the reminder of a society of higher minded persons who want to
exercise the self discipline of absorbing the many components of classical
music.  There is something to be said about history and culture.....

Additionally,  there are sufficient other venues of musical productions, so
to speak, that offer the "kick back and enjoy" options.
