Brian Eno is one of the most brilliant contemporary composers who will,
unfortunately go down in history as the author of Windows 95's opening
screen sound.  He does other sounds for Microsoft as well.  Guess one way
of looking at it is as you suggest.  He is the most listened to composer
in history!

I love Eno's work on ambient music.  I just wish there was enough demand
for it to justify digitally remastering the stuff.  It sounds awesome on
a nice sound system.
