Yes, I realized I'd goofed when the name Scullthorpe popped into my skull
that night, and I checked my files and found the name of the piece you
refer to.  An interesting brain-f*rt.  While I was at it, I thought I'd
check and see a few other composers & pieces in that group.  They are:
Raaijmakers:  "Tweeklank", (electronic) Fukushima:  "Hi-Kyo" for fl, p, str
& percussion; Stockhausen, #9 Zyclus for percussionist; Xenakis.  "Akrata";
Henze, Concerto for double bass & orch; Chavez, Tocatta for percussion;
Berio, Serenade I; Berio, Visage; and I'm sure there was some Takemitsu in
that series as well, along with quite a few others.  Much of interest, IMHO
