Four Hand Piano Music of Beth Anderson to Be Performed at Concerts in
Massachusetts on August 2 and 4

American composer Beth Anderson's Belgian Tango for 4-hand piano will
be performed by the piano duo of Bonnie Anderson and Donna Gross Javel
on the following dates and at the following locations in Massachusetts:

Thursday, August 2 - 7:00 p.m.  at Brookhaven, 1010 Waltham Street in
Lexington, Massachusetts.  For more information, call 781-863-9660.

Saturday, August 4 - 2:30 p.m.  at Fox Hill Village, 10 Longwood Drive
in Westwood, Massachusetts.  For more information, call 781-329-4433.

Both of these programs, presented as part of the Living Composers:
Four-Hand Piano Project, will also feature music by J.C. Bach, Jose
Joaquin Vargas Calvo, Camille Saint-Sa=EBns, Ana I. Vargas D, Donna
Gross Javel, Charles Smith and Edson Zampronha.

Beth Anderson's music has been described as having 'a refreshing
simplicity without naivete' and as -'deeply felt, direct, and yes,
beautiful' and 'charming and deeply felt to the point of romanticism.'
Her latest CDs are a new recording by Nancy Boston of September Swale
as part of American Women: Modern Voices in Piano Music and Quilt Music
(Albany Records), a CD of chamber music for smaller ensembles.  An essay
by Ms. Anderson about her music for American Music Center's NewMusicBox

Ms. Anderson has worked with New York video artist Dmitriy Khavin to
create two new videos based on her beautiful Pennyroyal Swale for string
quartet.  Mr. Khavin matched the music to the magnificent Kentucky
landscapes and other photos of James Archambeault.  Both videos are now
