But are the buyers and the concert/opera goers the same people? I have the
feeling that most c/o goers do not buy an appreciable amount of music.

Beyond that, what are we buying? Whenever I look at the classical charts
on the web, including Billboard, the big sellers *do* correspond fairly
well to to concert programming.  Those big sellers tend to be cameo,
compilation, and theme recordings.
