jpc.de sometimes lists releases months before they come out in the US.
(EG: the Fuchs quartets vol. 1 - quartets 1 in E/e, 2 in a/A - on MDG
listed by jpc as coming out in October, but not available in the US until
January 29, according to amazon, and not listed even in other European
outlets before December 2000 or so.)

So the cpo Ries symphonies 1&2 may be a while showing up elsewhere, if Mr.
Pennycuick found them, as I did, at the jpc site.

(Fun pieces, judging from the scores, published by Garland in 1983 (1 in D
op 23, 2 in c op 80, 8 in a op 181 were in the volume. Had a look at them
a few years ago.) Part of the series "Symphony, 1720-1840." (Series C.
volume 12.)

I hope, of course, that symphonies 4 in F, 6, 7 and 8 are on the way ;) (I
haven't heard either cpo CD yet of the two that .are. out- or rather, the
one that is and the one that's coming out... but hope to.)
