Personally, although Ben ZS is a tremendously likeable fellow and very
generously allowed me into one of the sessions for his recording of the
6th, I must demur over his 9th, which I found rambled rather, particularly
in the opening movement.

I too admire tha Barbirolli enormously (and I have the otehr two known
recordsinsg of him conducting it); I'd also recommend the Haitink very
highly, but my favourite perforamnce remains the Horenstein (on M&A,
haven't acquired the BBC yet).
