I _think_ these are the same piece, Steve.

Apropos of Maestro Newberry's remark about tepidity:

Dorian Le Galliene's Sinfonietta [1956], A blandly Prokofievan essay once
coupled on Odyssey 32 1 01506 with much more adventurous pieces [Sun Music
I and Irkanda IV] by Peter Sculthorpe.

And Stirling---Roussel's op 52 has no trumpet in its scoring.  You may have
been recollecting Honegger's Second Symphony.
