The Liszt transcriptions of the Beethoven symphonies are all his own
work. There are two version of the 9th - he initially did it for 2
pianos then reworked it. There are also transcriptions of Berlioz
Symphonie Fantastique and (IIRC) Harold in Italy.

I'm not overwhelmed by the Katsaris performances I have; there are others,
including a Hamonia Mundi set with different pianists. There was - for
about 15 minutes - an LP set from EMI with Idil Biret. Never reappeared.

I'm sure there will be at least 1 CD of Schubert in Leslie Thomas's
immemse traversal of the complete Liszt piano music. Pity he is often
more dutiful than inspired.
