CM Mavens, This morning I dragged out an LP I had not listened to in many
years...The Soundtrack to Fantasia. I listened to the Beethoven's Sixth
mainly because I am interested in hearing Stokowski's take on this piece.
Low and behold my ears told me that there were cuts in the score marring
what was otherwise a very enjoyable performance.

First of all, am I going slowly mad or are there indeed cuts? Secondly, if
the cuts do exist, are these merely to truncate the piece down so it would
fit onto one side of an LP or do they also exist in the film itself? Third,
might this problem be fixed in CD reissues of the soundtrack?

And finally, I am new to Stokowski, what are some "Must Have" recordings in
reasonable sound?

Steve M. (Northern Virginia)
