Richard Pennycuick initiated this thread with complimentary comments about
Vanhal's symphonies and the 1st Naxos volume.  I have a disc of Vanhal
symphonies from the Chandos Contemporaries of Mozart series and was curious
if any list members have both and would comment on their relative merits.
I also believe that BIS issued a recording of Vanhal symphonies conducted
by Saraste.  Does anyone have this recording?
