Not accepting the audience as it is? Very often I think that audiences
deserve more credit than arts managers give them.  Fort Worth Symphony's
concert last week featured and excellent Symphony Fantastique and a partly
excellent Prokofiev 3rd Cocnerto.  Regrettably they cut their only living
composer of the schedule (Corigliano's Promenade Overture) in favor of a
lollypop by Mozart.  I'm mildly interested whose decision that was, and
it would probably take more effort than it's worth to find the truth.
