It is a well rounded, not terrible adventursome guide, designed for novices
who wish to explore classical music for the first time.  it pretends to
be nothing other than what it is:  a starter course on what repertoire to
start with and which recordings are well received.  Not a bad little tome
if you are starting from scratch.
