The concerto concertante for two pianos and orchestra and viola concerto
were recorded on LP; the university library here has both recordings
(the former was coupled with the only previous recording of the first
symphony known to me), and I was particularly impressed by the viola
concerto, which has, I believe, been recorded only once but released
several times in several different (LP) couplings. The string quartets,
some of which (#3 on Koch, #7 on Parnassus, others?) have reached CD and
most of which reached LP in some form or other (I think #5 may have been
an exception,) are rather good as well (I thought #3 particularly so the
first time I heard it.) There's also two (?) violin sonatas, of which
the second received a few outings on record including at least one on
CD and the first was premiered on Koch a few years back (Gearhart/Owings,
from 1997- library here has it too, but I haven't heard it yet. I see
from their listing that the CD contains a third violin sonata as well,
unnumbered and brief, as well as other works.)
