I bought a Naxos CD of Moravec's chamber music and it bored me -- the
main piece was something about clocks, just a lot of ticking and tocking.
By contrast I have a couple of CDs of Higdon's orchestral music and I
find her handling of the orchestra to be right up my alley, because it
has mastery: she is a musical personality and doesn't sound like anybody
else.  Not a fair comparison no doubt, but there it is until I hear more
Moravec, if I ever do.
