Miguel Muelle asked for information on Clement Harris. A symphonic poem,
Paradise Lost, and his Festival March are on a Marco Polo CD, 8.223660,
which also contains Siegfried Wagner's symphonic poem Sehnsucht, and two
melodramas - ie with a narrator - by Schillings. The Wagner and Harris
are both worth hearing but if, like me, you have a strong aversion to
works with a narrator, the Schillings pieces are only about 22 minutes
of a 67 minute CD. There is a better-recorded and -performed version
of Sehnsucht on cpo, but to my knowledge, the Harris is not otherwise
available.
