I've never been in a Tower store and am a bit vague about where they
are/were.  Were there in fact many others in the UK?  This page mentions
one in Southampton:

   http://uk.towerrecords.com/ukstores.asp

And the Internet Archive refers to others in Windsor, Weston-super -
Mare (my local one, I suppose), Birmingham and Glasgow, as well as Camden
and Bayswater in London.  But they were never a presence on every high
street here.
