Actually in Hip Hop language 'grooves' can also mean numbers or pieces of
music/songs.

However if Andrew is really suggesting that vinyl is superior to CD I fear
he is mistaken.  The real problem was that It took CD players 15 years to
get up to the standard of record decks.

Now they are capable of remarkable sound quality revealing nuances and
frequency/dynamic range that are lost on LP.
