On a recording of Jeremiah's Lamentations by Zelenka (one of the most
beautiful pieces I've heard and apparently a composition Bach admired),
Michael George uses no vibrato at all.

As for The Sixteen: the exquisite one-minute Latin motet "Miserere Mei"
on their Purcell recording for the centennial is yet another of the most
beautiful things I have ever heard ;-). The brief work itself is a
masterpiece. This was on Collins Classic 14252.

>[I should add that The Sixteen have a web site. It, and dozens
>(hundreds?) of other early music web sites can be accessed via Brad

Thanks for the link.
