There are some interesting items in the 2000-1 season announcement from the
Los Angeles Opera:

   * Inva ("Fifth Element") Mula as Musetta in the Nov.-Dec.  "Boheme"
   (with Vaduva and Machado as Mimi and Rodolfo)

   * A fascinating "Giulio Cesare" cast next February:  Futral, Rasmussen,
   Daniels, Mehta!  Wow.

   * Bayo as Susanna and Arteta as the Countess in January "Nozze"
   performances, instead of the other way around.

   * The season-opening "Aida" features Voigt, Terentieva, and Jaakko
   Ryhaenen.

   Other productions:  "Cenerentola," "Peter Grimes," "Don Pasquale"
   and "Tosca."
