Not exactly a favorite of mine, but I have a tape of the Beethoven 4th
with the Dohnanyi cadenzas. Dohnanyi conducted and one of his students
was the soloist with the Florida State University Symphony. Like was
mentioned with the Brahms/Beethoven, this is almost pure Dohnanyi overlaid
on Beethoven. I really should get that tape out and listen again now
that my reel-to-reel is up and running again.

As to a favorite, I would have to go with the 1st movement of the
Rachmaninoff 3rd, either version. He almost asks the piano to do more
than is possible.
