EMI has released a set (Catalogue #06636) which it calls "The Collector's
Vaughan Williams." It contains just about every major work -- symphonies,
oratorios, chamber, operas, concerti -- and quite a few minor ones.
Thirty CDs fill up the box, no liner notes, but a booklet indicating
what's on each CD. The performances so far are first-rate: Boult,
Handley, Hickox, Groves, Del Mar, Davies, Willcocks, Sargent, The Music
Group of London, the Britten Quartet, the London Madrigal Singers (in
what remains my favorite program of VW choral folk-song settings).
Furthermore, you can buy this for less than $60 (American) on the Internet.
Wow!

I won't be reviewing this because, frankly, just listing all the contents
will be enough to tire me out. At my usual degree of detail, I myself
wouldn't finish reading it.
