Unfortunately, my list of symphonists says that he passed away as soon as
1988.

Another Russian symphonist whose work is strangely absent from the CD
catalogue (AFAIK) is Nikolai Peiko.  His 6th symphony may not be a
modernist work, but it is very fine music indeed.  Once again, he might
be better known for his students...
