I am a big Prokofiev fan, and I've been very happy with the Romeo and
Juliet from the Kirov Orchestra of Leningrad, conducted by Valery Gergiev
on Philips (432 166-2).

I am ordinarily drawn to Gergiev and the Kirov's light blue boxes,
(especially opera!) but THIS one is for some reason packaged in an orange
box, so do not be misled.

If you like R and J, how about Cinderella? I'm certain you will enjoy that,
too. You can try the two cd set of Suites on Naxos (8.550968-9) or plunge
into the real thing. I'm happy with the complete ballet. I lucked out and
found a used cd on Audiophile Classics conducted by Gennady Rozhdestvensky.
