Ashkenazy possesses a solider mechanism.  Both he and Nikolayeva have
interesting interpretive ideas.  I have heard only the MK/Olympia issue
of Nikolayeva (by the way, she died in '84 I think).  The performances
are different enough to merit having both sets.
