Another addition is from the Irish composer Ian Wilson.  His 3rd String
Quartet, "Towards the Far Country", uses seven particular Klee paintings
for inspiration.

As an aside, there is also Black Box disc carrying Wilson's three string
quartets.  The title?  - Towards the Far Country.  Wilson is quite a
treasure in offering motorized music with strings being stretched to
their breaking point.
