Hans Gefors: Jouissance (2002) (transl. "Enjoyment")
This is a five movement, 47 minutes long song cycle for soprano, barytone,
large choir and orchestra. Texts by: 1. Jouissance / Jan van Ruysbroeck
; 2. Posteringen / Tomas Transtromer ; 3. En sommerdag pa Skagen / Inger
Christensen ; 4. Aria / Lars Forssell; 5. Klyftan / Petter Bergman

Pros: When it comes to the marriage of text and music, this is a gloryfied
proof that not only Swedish singers know how. Gefors mixes late romantic
flair with contemporary dissonance perfectly.

Cons: Its only been played twice, (The premiere was brodcast on Swedish
Radio) and like most contemorary works of any statue the chance of it
beeing performed again is minimal.
