another Barber Toccata Festiva! That's four in the last few years.
There is another on Linn, (both formats), that is *very* impressive,
if a little slower and more "pastel" compared to the one on Cedille.
Gillian Weir plays the organ in the English Chamber Orchestra accompanies.
The organ has a thrilling low end and the climax is all one could want,
very spaciously recorded. I had to buy it from Amazon UK. It got all
the way to California in less than 2 weeks. If you're looking for a
good old-fashioned show piece (with all kinds of rhythmic and harmonic
surprises) look no further.
