Many years ago, I played in a performance of Rimsky-Korsakov's Russian
Easter Overture under Stokowski.  There is a major solo for second trombone
in the middle of the piece.  Stokowski used a baritone (voice) for the
part.

There's a first time for everything, I guess, though I suspect Stokie had
done this before.
