I believe Schumann also introduced Berlioz to the musical world. Lesser
composers he helped along the road to fame included Niels Gade, Robert
Franz, Stephen Heller, Adolph von Henselt, William Bennett and Johannes
Verhulst, all of whom (especially Gade) have works recorded and available
on CD today. Incredible, but "lucky?"
