I can testify to how memorable the Handel CD is. Two days ago my 8 year
old daughter was off school sick and we were listening to a performance
of Theodora on Radio 3. She asked me 'Is this very famous?' and then
said that she recognised an aria she'd just heard because we had it on
a CD. I then remembered that it was on the Lieberson CD, which I've only
played once, a few months ago.
