Mats Norrman asked if there were any recordings of a string quartet by E.J.
Moeran. I know of three:

Naxos 8.554079 - Maggini Quartet - String Quartets in A minor and E flat
with the String Trio in G.

ASV 1045 - Vanbrugh Quartet - Same two Quartets plus two other chamber
works.

Chandos 8465 - Melbourne String Quartet - String Quartet in A minor and a
violin sonata.

I'll assume that Mats heard one of the two string quartets on the above
recordings, but I have no idea which one it was. Of the three recordings,
I have the Naxos and enjoy it very much. It did get very good reviews when
it was issued a short number of years ago. The ASV issue is even more
recent. The Chandos has been around for many years.
