Hello everyone, If you are in the Washington, DC area, you are welcome

++++++++++++++++++++++++

   District of Columbia Public Library,
   Library Services to the Deaf Community
   And the
   Association of Adult Musicians with Hearing Loss (AAMHL)

   Presents

   Beethoven and Me:
   Music and Musings on the Paradox of Composing with a Hearing Loss

   With

   Jay Alan Zimmerman, Composer

   This program will include performances of Beethoven's works
   at various stages of his hearing loss as well as performances
   of Jay Zimmerman's own works at various stages of his hearing
   loss. In some ways it would be comparative: finding the
   similarities in their situations and differences, their
   different options for dealing with hearing loss, their different
   choices. If time permits, Mr. Zimmerman will discuss various
   compositional techniques and how they apply to music composition.
