Classical Net and Matterhorn Travel are working together on two informal
reunions for Classical Net visitors and Moderated Classical Music List
participants.

The reunions will take place on classical music and opera trips to Europe.

The Great Composers June 2l to July 5
Verona Opera Festival August l9 to 27

During the Great Composers (Bach-Mozart-Beethoven) itinerary, we'll learn
about the composers as individuals, as well as persons of musical genius.
Specialists on Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven will talk to us not only about
the composers' life, but also about the times when they lived - which,
obviously, influenced their life and music.

Fascinating cities, the Rhine, Elbe, and Danube cruises, and several
musical evenings will provide a memorable setting of enjoyment and
pleasure.

We have all been to the opera at a traditional opera house. But how many
of us have attended an opera outdoors - at a Roman amphitheater, built in
the time of the Emperor Augustus in the first century A.D. nearly 2000
years ago?!

We'll savour this unique, awe-inspiring experience at the Verona Opera
Festival in Italy. We'll attend Verdi's Aida, as well as La Traviata,
at the Roman amphitheater in Verona. To enhance our knowledge and
appreciation of Verdi and his operas, we'll attend an educational briefing
session before each performance.

Our holiday is not all opera. We'll visit Venice, and the Lakes of Garda,
Como, and Maggiore. In Milan we'll see Leonardo Da Vinci's "Last Supper,"
one of the world's most famous paintings, and the Theatre Museum at La
Scala.

Have you ever wondered about the "faces behind the e-mails?" The trip will
be a good opportunity to meet other members in person, and continue a
dialogue amidst an "old world" setting of classical music and opera.
