I bought the first two volumes a few years ago.  I don't remember much
about the discs except that I preferred Martin Jones on Nimbus, Kocsis on
Philips, Roge on London, and Jacobs on Nonesuch.  Subsequent to that time
period, I got Gieseking's set which is the best of all.  So I'd have to
say that Crossley wasn't high on the list.  I think that the reviews for
Crossley's series were fairly complimentary.
