I don't know the Piano Concerto, but Harrison is a composer whose
music appeals strongly to me, and I have several CDs of other works,
including his violin concerto.  What is most characteristic of the very
fresh-sounding music of his I know is the strong influence of Indonesian
Gamelan music, and there is very little of the Western musical tradition
left in it.
