This work really rocks!!!  Indeed, this is one of the most powerful choral
works of the French repertoire...  And the central section for soprano
and orchestra is really moving!  Unfortunately, no recording of this
masterpiece is currently available...  SHAME!  Florent Schmitt (1870-1958)
also composed a great Symphonie Concertante for piano and Orchestra, which
is seldom played even in France.  Fortunately, the Tragedie de Salome and
the Second Symph= ony are both available on Marco Polo...  There is also a
CD of chamber music available on Praga:
