It's an excellent article (and I'm not usually a Keillor fan; he's way
too precious for me). You shouldn't have much trouble finding this at a
reasonably stocked classical music outlet; not sure how far afield Prarie
Village, KS, is though. On the Mahler-List, I called this issue the
Mahler Bargain of the Year: the cover disc is a great version of Mahler 4,
coupled with some French opera arias by Roberto Alagna. The liner notes
for the symphony are excellent, as is the accompanying article. There's
a review of the Gielen Mahler 3, and, to bring in Anne Ozorio's (greetings
to a "fellow" M-Lister, Anne!) note about Hans Werner Henze, that composer
named Das Lied von der Erde as "music that changed me." All this for about
$9.95.
