I don't know how old the recording is that I heard on the Tucson Classical
radio today... but I found it exciting. Beethoven's Violin Concerto
performed by Hillery Hahn. I thought it was a terrific performance
despite two very very tiny mistakes I detected.

I didn't know about it before today, but I was impressed.

Can anybody tell me anything about when, where, etc.? Or the critic's
view of her performance. I have never bothered to listen to her recordings
before. I certainly shall pay attention to her in the future. Nice
sounding violin as well.

I didn't hear the announcer describe orchestra or location, but I assume
it is the recording I found on Amazon on the Sony label with Zinman
conducting.

That gal can play!
