I was surprised at the slow pace of Rifkin's playing of Joplin and was
advised that this was how the music was supposed to be played.  It probably
shows just how little I know of ragtime but maybe I was right.  In any
event, I would prefer the music to be played w/ more bounce.

I wonder at what pace the Laserlight recordings Ron mentioned are played.
