Chicago recently was reduced to just one classical station (WFMT) when
WNIB sold out to Rock'n'Roll about a year ago. This is a scary trend.
Why is classical music so unpopular? Classical music enthusiasts have
several hundered years of music from many different countries to choose
from. Also, when you go to a classical concert, you a) don't get frisked,
and b) you don't have to wear ear plugs (no tailgate parties after a
classical concerts, however).
