THE AMERICAN CHAMBER ENSEMBLE TO MAKE WASHINGTON DC DEBUT AT NATIONAL
GALLERY OF ART - Made in America Concert on December 15

The American Chamber Ensemble 'will make its Washington DC concert debut
on Sunday, December 15, 2002 - 7 PM at the National Gallery of Art, on
the National Mall between Third and Ninth Streets at Constitution Avenue,
NW, Washington, DC.

This concert is being presented by the National Gallery in conjunction
with Drawing on America's Past: Folk Art and the Index of American Design,
a special exhibit of American primitive art. The program, Made in the
USA, will feature Nancy Bloomer Duessen's Trio for violin, clarinet and
piano, Edwin Finckel's Variations on Willow Weep for Me for clarinet,
cello and piano, Robert Muczynski's Fantasy Trio for clarinet, cello and
piano, George Kleinsinger's Quintet for clarinet and string quartet and
Peter Schickele's Serenade for Three for violin, clarinet and piano.

Performers for this concert will be the Directors of the American Chamber
Ensemble, pianist Blanche Abram and clarinetist Naomi Drucker, who will
be joined by violinists Eriko Sato and Deborah Wong, violist Lois Martin,
cellist Chris Finckel and pianist Marilyn Sherman Lehman.

The American Chamber Ensemble explores the great chamber music
literature for clarinet and piano in combination with strings, woodwinds
and voice and presents performances featuring world-class artists. ACE
consists of the finest freelance musicians in the New York area and has
been cited by critics for their superb presentations of chamber masterworks.

members of ACE performing works by George Kleinsinger, Virgil Thomson,
Daniel Gregory Mason, Elliott Carter, Douglas Moore and Gary Schocker,
with Guest Artist Stanley Drucker
