John Smyth asks about pianist Michael Ponti:

>Is he still around and his he recording anything these days?

I got this by googling him:

As recently as this spring he was in Canon City, Colorado, helping with
a public radio fund drive. There's a picture of him doing so here:

   http://www.kcme.org/Pages/2004%20Spring%20FD%20Story.htm

He was born in Freiburg, Germany October 19, 1937 - thus is 67 years
old.

I have no idea if he is playing or recording currently. Like you
I bought lots of his recordings back in the day - he recorded rare
repertoire, which has always been an interest of mine.
